Maintenance Technician (Electronics)

My client require a Maintenance Technician working on the Dartford Tunnel and Crossing.
This is a very varied role, but will mainly be dealing with low voltage kitting equipment, fibre optic cables and the system/software used at the Traffic Management Cell for the Dartford Tunnel which uses traffic signals to manage the flow of traffic through the tunnels and prevent queuing. The signals cycle from green to red, and the operators can adjust the cycle time to achieve the desired level of metering, the Technicians will be heavily involved with the system for this operation.

* Phone lines

* Fibre optic cable

* IT systems

* Software systems

Electronics engineer experience (commercial background), British Telecom experience would be ideal and then they will be morphed into this role as it is extremely varied.

This is a 24/7 operational project, shifts will be as below.
2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (12 hour shifts) 6 till 6 rotational shifts

After 3 months the rate will increase to £22.73 / hour
