Headley have a vacancy for a Production Engineer with an established engineering business in Leeds.

We are seeking experienced engineers with machine shop experience who can play a lead role in mapping out production processes for precision components, whilst contributing to an overall environment of continuous improvements

Some of the duties would include:

* Modelling and design of components according to specification prior to manufacture

* Selecting of appropriate tooling and developing job routings for the machine shop

* Providing work instructions to machine operators

* Programming of machine tools

* Understanding of process optimisation to ensure efficient manufacture

* Creation of any bills of materials as appropriate

The role demands experience of working in a machine shop.

It could suit either an apprentice trained machinist who has progressed their career into a production engineering role, or perhaps a degree/HND educated engineer with experience in a similar role.
