We are looking for an enthusiastic Commercial Manager with experience working in the Landscape or Construction sectors.
Our client is a Young, Progressive, Landscaping Specialist Contractor, focusing primarily on soft landscaping and are one of the foremost providers of landscaping in London and the Southeast.
Role responsibilities:
* To provide commercial and contract support, minimizing any potential risk to the business and maximizing profit potential.
* To monitor ongoing cost of works and issue variations where required.
* To help develop and implement quality focused strategies for the business.
* You will ensure all operations of service under your control are successfully delivered to the required standards.
* You will report to the Director.
* Fully understand the Quality and Environmental objectives of the business and help drive its success.
* You will work closely with senior managers within the business, and you will form a key part of that team.
* You will provide regular updates as required to the Director of the company.
* Provide a structure for open communications between business and client.
* Minimize any potential risk to the business and maximise profit potential.
* Assist in maintaining compliance to current quality and environmental legislation as part of the company’s ISO standards and help limit risk to key objectives.
Required for the role:
* Must have a Commercial / QS background. With minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within the field.
* Must be able to commute to the office HQ based in East Sussex.
* Proven experience of negotiation skills, areas of influence from current / recent role.
* Financially literate and proficient with Microsoft Excel
* Happy to keep pace with a busy workload and project deadlines.
* Willing to travel – to sites, meetings.
* Clear and excellent communication
* Confident experience in managing order books, while tracking, and requesting payments when due.
Qualifications:
* Relevant formal commercial / QS qualification HND/HNC or similar
