JOB DESCRIPTION
SED Services Ltd located in the heart of Lancashire are recruiting for a Head of Finance position. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to help play a big part of the groups future growth plans and development of their finance/operations function.
As Head of Finance you will report to the Company Directors with management accounts and financial operations reports.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and develop the full finance function and team to enhance financial systems, processes, and controls
· Lead on group budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling activities to provide insights into financial performance and support decision-making
· Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, and analysis to the board
· Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk effectively to ensure the company's growth strategy
· Serve as a key point of contact for external relationships, providing them with accurate and timely financial information and leading on meetings
· Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement cost-control measures to improve profitability
· Oversee the full month end process and lead the quarterly and annual statuary accounts with the auditors
· Mitigate financial risks and implement risk management strategies
· Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team, assisting in decision-making and business planning
· Create, develop and support a number of on-going ad-hoc commercial projects
You will need to be a fully qualified accountant who has worked within an SME, ideally working with a family run business. Having worked in waste management or logistics business would be very beneficial but not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for a more experienced person who enjoys working within a collaborative environment
Education: Bachelor's (preferred)
Experience: Management: 1 year (preferred)
