Salary: £180-£200 per day

We are proud of our safeguarding culture and are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and empathetic individual to join our team as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (Deputy DSL).

Key Responsibilities:

As the Deputy DSL, you will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to:

Support the implementation and monitoring of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Act as a point of contact for staff, parents, and external agencies regarding safeguarding concerns.
Lead on safeguarding cases in the absence of the DSL.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safeguarding concerns.
Deliver safeguarding training and updates to staff as required.
Participate in multi-agency meetings and child protection conferences.
Promote a culture of safeguarding across the school/organisation, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience working in a safeguarding or child protection role, ideally in an education setting.
In-depth knowledge of current safeguarding legislation, including Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Excellent organsational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with staff, students, and external agencies.
Relevant qualifications, such as Level 3 Safeguarding training, are desirable but not essential.
