Willo Education is currently working with a large SEN Secondary School in the Selly Oak area who are on the lookout for a Learning Mentor to work with students across KS3 and KS4.

About the Role:
The successful Learning Mentor will be supporting students aged between 11 and 16 years old (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4) with a variety of needs including, but not limited to, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Attachment & Trauma Anxiety and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH).Whilst you will have the full support of your new Team, you will have the autonomy to help create resources, build upon individual learning plans, and identify and implement creative ways to encourage learning inside and outside of the classroom. Full Time and Part Time work available: 8.30 am – 3.30 pm

About You:

The school is looking for an enthusiastic team member who is proactive, well-organised, and flexible. You must be empathetic and a team player to provide educational support to pupils alongside providing personal care. You will understand the importance of a person-centered approach to teaching and learning and will ensure the student’s learning is a positive experience.

To Apply for this role, you much have the following:

* Right to work in the UK

* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.

* Previous SEND experience – ideal but not essential

* Willingness to train and complete courses relating to SEND

* Proactive and well-organised Team player

* Team Teach/NAPPI training - highly desirable but not essential
