Early Years Educator with Penkett Day Nursery

* £6.40 per hour, 36 hours per week

* Monday to Friday shifts between 7.30am-4.30pm / 8am-5pm / 9am-6pm

* 32 Penkett Road, Wallasey CH45

* You will be working towards Early Years Practitioner Level 3 which will take approximately 18 months.

So, what will your day to day look like?

* Planning and delivering activities with children aged 0 – 5

* Carrying out care needs to children which may include teeth, skin, hair, feeding and toileting under supervision

* Supporting children with their general development including interacting with other children

* Communicating with parents and carers of their child’s daily/ weekly progress

* Supervising children to ensure you are managing/ avoiding any risks

* Assist in creating engaging and educations activities for children.

* Support the Nursery Practitioners in daily care routines.

* Help maintain a clean and safe nursery environment.

* Interact with children to promote learning and development.

* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the well-being of all children.

What skills/qualifications or personalities would be suited to this role?

* You must have a minimum of English/Maths GCSE 4/C to apply for this role and you must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years

* You must have Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or equivalent

* Suitable for school leavers who may have carried out babysitting duties or work experience in a nursery setting

* Caring and compassionate

* Honest and trustworthy

* Professional and positive minded

* Ability to work within a team and on your own initiative

What do you need to know about Penkett Day Nursery

We are family run business with another two already established settings. Penkett Day Nursery is our newest venture. We are in the process of refurbing this lovely building to open up in September 2024. We are an open planned nursery, with a close team working together as one to deliver the highest level of care to local children and families.
