Project Manager - Water Industry
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, implementation, and management of water industry projects, from initiation through to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and key stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial tracking.
Provide regular financial and status reports to stakeholders and management.
Monitor risks throughout the project life cycle and take corrective actions as needed.
Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and external consultants
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations and environmental standards.
Obtain necessary permits and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of the water industry with proven experience managing and delivering both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects (waste and clean).
Preferred certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials.
Proficiency with NEC 3/4 contracts, including hands-on experience with contractual management and compliance.
Commercial and operational experience, with a strong understanding of project financials and cost control.
Exceptional client and stakeholder engagement skills, ensuring clear communication and relationship building.
Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) and Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) regulations, with current knowledge of industry standards.
Strong technical and IT skills, capable of using project management and collaboration tools effectively
