About the role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Global Developmental Delay (for example gross or fine motor skills, speech and language, social and personal skills), you will be integral to our supportive team. Your role will involve supporting Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students with tailored learning plans, collaborating with teachers to deliver inclusive lessons, and providing one-on-one and small group support to foster academic growth and confidence. You'll also help create a positive classroom environment and engage with parents to support students’ overall development.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with students with special educational needs, is highly desirable.
• A kind and nurturing approach with a genuine passion for supporting students with Global Developmental Delay.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and assist with personalised learning plans for students with Global Developmental Delay, ensuring their specific educational needs are met effectively.
• Work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons and strategies that cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Offer one-on-one and small group support to help students achieve their learning goals, build confidence, and develop essential skills.
• Contribute to creating a nurturing and encouraging classroom atmosphere that supports all students in their academic and social growth.
