KCS are currently seeking an experienced Slinger for an exciting 9-month opportunity in Newport. Join our dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient operations on-site.

Position: Slinger

Location: Newport

Duration: 9 months

Hours: 10 hours on-site, 9.5 hours paid

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely attach slings to loads for lifting.

* Assist in the movement of materials using lifting equipment.

* Direct crane operators with clear hand signals or radio communication.

* Inspect lifting gear and materials for safety and security.

* Maintain awareness of safety standards and protocols.

* Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Slinger is preferred, but not essential.

* Certification in slinging and signaling is desirable.

* Strong understanding of safety regulations and lifting equipment.

* Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Ability to work well in a team environment.
