Job Opportunity: Contract Estimator - Remote 

Carmichael UK is seeking a skilled Contract Estimator to join a tier 1 contractor on the Devonport Docks project in Plymouth, requiring occasional site visits every 2-3 months. This role offers competitive compensation ranging from £450 to £500/day on a PAYE Umbrella basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and civils projects.

Analyse blueprints, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labour estimates.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project feasibility and budget constraints.

Research and source materials and costs to develop reliable estimates.

Review and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors.

Prepare and maintain a database of historical data to inform future estimation projects.

Assist in the development of project budgets and timelines.
