Duties and Responsibilities:
The Practice Manager will assist the Directors in leading our company to its full potential. You will sit on the senior leadership team and play a key role in handling clients, overseeing workflows, coordinating teams, and organising all of us. You will be the glue that holds everything together and makes this a great place to work!
The role has great potential to develop senior leadership skills and ultimately take on the overall running of the business.
Project Management/Workflow:
* Full responsibility for workflow management across the practice to ensure design delivery revenue targets.
* Coordinate daily activities, task assignment, and resource allocation to meet goal targets.
* Review, create and implement systems to streamline workflow and enhance productivity across the business.
Financials:
* Basic accounts responsibility including invoicing and debt collection
* Keeping an eye on the balance sheet and P&L
* Production of KPI’s, monitor financial performance and budgetary compliance reporting to Director’s
* Support the Director’s with fee proposals
Knowledge and experience required:
* Proven experience in a Practice Manager/Executive Assistant or similar role.
* Experience of working for and growing a small business that services private clients
* Understanding of business strategy, particularly around growth and developing the business, with the ability to step into a leadership role longer term
* A background in project management, workflow management and resource allocation is essential
* Good organization and administration skills
* Excellent level of written and spoken English
* Proactive and ability to think on your feet
* Experience in handling exclusive customers
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* A results-driven mindset and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficient in accounting software (which software?)
* IT skills – which software?.
* Familiarity with design processes is a plus.
* An interest in garden design is an advantage.
