The ICT Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the company's information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and efficiency. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from network administration and cybersecurity to software implementation and user support. The ICT Manager will lead a small team and work closely with other departments to ensure that ICT systems support the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Manage the ICT budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
Manage server infrastructure, including hardware, operating systems, and virtualisation platforms.
Ensure the availability and reliability of all ICT systems and services.
Manage cloud based services as required.
Cybersecurity:
Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company's data and systems.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
Ensure GDPR compliance.
User Support:
Manage the ICT helpdesk and provide timely and effective technical support to users.
Develop and deliver user training on ICT systems and software.
Manage the procurement and deployment of hardware and software.
Team Leadership (if applicable):
Lead and manage the ICT team, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with ICT vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements are met.
Manage software licensing.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar ICT management role.
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration, and cybersecurity principles.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Knowledge of UK data protection laws and regulations (GDPR).
Experience with helpdesk systems and ticketing systems.
Experience with Microsoft 365.
Experience with VOIP systems.
