Position: Speech & Language Therapist

Location: Sunderland
Type: Term-time, Full-Time (37 hours per week)
Salary: £36,507 - £44,103 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Halcyon Health and Social Care North West is excited to collaborate with a prestigious school in the heart of Ormskirk to find a dedicated and experienced Speech & Language Therapist. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children while working within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct assessments to identify the speech and language needs of students.

* Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's needs.

* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.

* Provide guidance and training to school staff to support communication strategies within the classroom.

* Monitor and evaluate student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as necessary.

* Stay updated on relevant research, techniques, and best practices in speech and language therapy.

What We’re Looking For:

* A qualified Speech & Language Therapist with a relevant degree and registration with the appropriate regulatory body.

* Demonstrated experience working with children, particularly within a school setting.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.

* A collaborative team player who can build effective partnerships with teachers, parents, and external agencies.

* A passion for helping children reach their full potential and overcome communication barriers.
