Our client in Swindon is looking for a Route Planner on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a Monday to Friday role.

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

* Searching for transport offers on freight exchanges.

* Optimal route planning, combining orders into efficient transports.

* Transmitting orders to drivers and monitoring their execution.

* Ongoing communication with drivers and other departments.

* Ensuring the timeliness and quality of completed orders.

* Solving current problems related to route execution.

Requirements:

* Experience in a similar position (preferred but not essential).

* On-call every other week until 8 PM

* Good knowledge of freight exchanges.

* Ability to plan, organize, and optimize routes.

* Strong decision-making skills.

* Ability to work under time pressure.

* Team player with good communication skills.

* Proficiency in MS Office.
