About The Role
At Saha, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement.
The Caretaker will undertake a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the fabric and grounds of the scheme to create a safe, compliant and high standard of living.  Principally, this consists of low-level maintenance duties, decorating, repairs, gardening and cleaning.  Ensuring a safe environment to reside enables Saha residents to transform their lives and enable independent living.
What you will be doing: 

Ensuring that the internal cleanliness of all the communal areas and office facilities are kept to the required specification, including organising the cleaning programme, equipment and supplies.
Maintaining the property to a high standard, making sure it is kept in good repair, which will include undertaking low level maintenance duties as set out in the caretaker/handy person’s task sheet, in accordance to the associations policies and procedures.
Responding promptly to all repair requests and to actively seek out works required in and around the building.
Being responsible for the collection and delivery of items to and from the scheme as required including repair materials, food donations, clothing, furniture, stationary and cleaning materials etc
Ensuring that the exterior area of the building is maintained to the required specification including the long term management and maintenance of planting, lawned areas and paths etc. 

About The Candidate
What we’re looking for in our Caretaker:

Experience of undertaking cleaning / gardening duties
Experience of carrying out low level maintenance duties to a high standard
Proactive approach to assessing maintenance needs.
Understanding of Health and safety issues as they relate to Buildings and maintenance.
Proactive and self-motivated with a can do, professional attitude and the drive to make a real difference
Great verbal, written and influencing skills with high attention to detailThe benefits on offer
