Major Recruitment are looking for Purchasing Administrators to join an Audio Visual company based in St Albans. The Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for supporting the procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to managing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of products, and maintaining accurate records.

As a Purchasing Administrator, your responsibilities are:

Procurement Management: Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for AV equipment, materials, and services, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.
Purchase Order Processing: Raise and process purchase orders accurately and in line with project requirements.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable supply of products and services.
Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, track inventory, and manage restocking processes to avoid shortages and ensure project demands are met.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to track and manage shipments, deliveries, and returns.
Budget Control: Assist in managing the procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and deliveries, and provide regular reports on procurement activities to management.
Invoice Management: Assist with matching invoices to purchase orders and processing supplier payments in coordination with the finance team.
Vendor Analysis: Regularly assess supplier performance in terms of quality, price, and delivery times to make informed purchasing decisions.
Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

A successful Purchasing Administrator will have:

Experience: Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role, ideally within the AV or technology sector.
Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with suppliers and internal teams effectively.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in purchase orders, invoices, and inventory tracking.
