Are you an experienced Cylindrical Grinder looking for a new opportunity?

Our client, a specialist, manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Cylindrical Grinder to join their specialist team of machinists.

As the Cylindrical Grinder you role will be to produce parts to fulfil assembly, aftermarket and spares.

* Programming, setting and operating CNC Cylindrical Studer machines

* Making unique, bespoke one offs (small batch work)

* Working to tight geometric tolerances, producing complex components according to spec requirements, tolerances 0.005

* Setting up wheels, jigs/fixtures, chunks and working between centres

* Self inspection

* Ability to apply knowledge of different materials and machining methods

* Prove out and editing of CNC programs

Ideal candidates will have the following experience;

* Apprentice trained, time served engineer

* CNC cylindrical grinding experience, working with very tight tolerances

* Ability to work alone or in a team

The Cylindrical Grinder will work permanent nights, Monday to Thursday, 9.15pm to 8am, with a 5am finish on Friday morning. There is also flexible working hours, which can be discussed at interview.
