SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support for Year 3 Pupil with ASC

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a mainstream primary school in Bispham. This full-time role begins after Easter and is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child’s learning and development.

The Role:
Providing tailored 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with ASC, ensuring they can engage with learning effectively
Implementing strategies to support communication, sensory needs, and routine
Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development in a way that suits the child's needs
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to ensure consistency in support
Creating a calm and structured environment to help the pupil feel secure and confident
Requirements:
Experience working in a school or supporting children with additional needs
An understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and effective strategies to support pupils
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support
A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
