Senior Network and Systems Administrator

My client, a leading software development company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network and Systems Administrator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to deliver top-tier technical support and manage a variety of cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive support for Windows Desktop & Server (Windows 2016+).
Design, implement, and support LAN/WAN networks.
Manage and adhere to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for fault restoration and resolution.
Maintain, update, and secure systems and databases.
Identify and manage escalated faults, liaising with third-party suppliers for major incidents or network improvements.
Monitor data traffic and control network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.

Requirements:

3+ years in a senior network/system administration role within a mid/large enterprise.
Certifications such as MSSE or CCNP.
Advanced understanding of IOS, VLAN, STP, BGP, OSPF routing, and switch technologies.
Experience implementing security controls on network access systems such as firewalls, IDS, WAF, and network segmentation.
Strong technical expertise in O365, M365, and Azure administration with a focus on security controls.
Hands-on experience with fibre networking.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.

Desirable:

Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible).
Familiarity with web hosting across various Webserver and Database technologies.
Experience with open-source security tools (e.g., Suricata/Wazuh).
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting or another versatile scripting language.
Advanced knowledge of Linux and monitoring tools such as Splunk/Grafana/ELK.
