An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager / Construction Manager to join a leading contractor on a flagship £230m data centre project in London Docklands. This role involves overseeing major structural and fit-out works, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
 
Project Overview
This ambitious development will be delivered in phases and includes:

Large diameter pile installation, ground beam substructure and pile caps
Heavy structural steel frame (9 floors)
Composite cladding and outer rainscreen
Two precast concrete central core areas
MEP infrastructure and full fit-out of data halls (Levels 1 & 2)
Below-ground drainage and critical services infrastructure
External works and link bridge to an existing campus north building
Construction of a single-storey security gatehouse Your Role & Responsibilities
As the Site Manager / Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:

Managing and coordinating on-site activities to align with the project timeline.
Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Implementing and maintaining stringent health and safety standards.
Conducting site inspections, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth project progression.
Maintaining accurate site documentation, including daily reports and safety records. What You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Proven experience as a Site Manager or Construction Manager on major building projects.
Data centre, base build, or heavy industrial construction experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A deep understanding of health and safety regulations. Benefits Package

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)
Travel Allowance: Up to £5,000
Pension: 5% employee contribution matched by 5% employer contribution
