GMP Recruitment are currently working with a hugely successful and highly recognised leading international manufacturer located in Droitwich. We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team on a full time, permanent contract, working Monday – Friday (Days) 37.5 hours a week.
Salary £26,000
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for admin functions withing the logistics department where you will ensure all paperwork is provided in a timely manner to subcon operations and on receipt of release that all release paperwork is completed and archived correctly to ensure no issues when parts hit point of sale.
All aspect of role will have adequate training with training and progression plans, but to be considered you must demonstrate previous experience in a business administration role with strong IT skills the ability to work well under pressure.
Attitude, dedication and reliability are fundamental for this role.
Logistics Coordinator main duties:
* Raise and supply relevant documentation to subcon operations.
* Deal with any issues that arise at subcon due to paperwork in a timely manner.
* Update production daily on all sub con movements (maintain trackers)
* Release and archive all subcon returns in a timely manner.
* Ensure all internal systems are kept up to date and maintained for all subcon operations.
* Book all subcon transports, liaising with sub con to ensure maximising loads to maximise cost savings.
* Booking in of deliveries to site.
* Follow and maintain thermal and Xray dispatch plans.
* Be able to make a business decision in the absence of Manager.
* Comply with all HSE and HR policies and procedures.
* Any other duties that may be deemed reasonable by the business if required.
Logistics Coordinator required skills and experience:
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft 365 Products/Excel)
* Previous business administration experience
* Good communication skills
* Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
