Azure Data Migration Specialist

Hybrid - on site in Reading 1-2 Days per week
£500 per day (Inside IR35)

My client in the utilities industry are looking for an Azure Data Migration Specialist to join their fast-paced team on an initial 6 month contract.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Azure data migration tools and technologies, as well as a strong understanding of data migration best practices, including data reconciliation.

Key responsibilities:

Work with project team to understand the data migration and reconciliation requirements and to develop data migration plans
Design and implement data migration solutions using Azure Data Factory and associated Azure technologies
Perform data migration trials and troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues
Develop and execute reconciliation tests/reports to ensure data accuracy and completeness
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful data migration and integration with existing systems
Document data migration processes and procedures
To be considered for this role, ideally you will have:

Strong experience in data migration, with a focus on Azure cloud-based solutions
Strong understanding of data migration best practices and methodologies
Experience with Azure data migration tools and technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Migration Service, and Azure Cosmos Database
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
