Job Title: Multiskilled Electrical Engineer
Location: Leeds, LS12
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 10am-6pm, Monday to Friday, plus every other Saturday
Rate: £21.60 per hour (with weekends paid at time and a half)

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Multiskilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Leeds. In this role, you will provide first-class electrical engineering assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our production objectives and targets. Key Responsibilities

Performance: All tasks executed in a food safe manner; zero non-conformances raised.

Issue Reporting & Resolution

Promptly report any operational issues to the Operations Manager.

Performance: Timely escalation of issues with minimal disruption to production.

Health, Safety & Quality Standards

Promote and adhere to best practices in health, safety, and quality.

Performance: Serve as a role model for the engineering team regarding H&S standards.

Documentation & Systems Management

Complete and maintain accurate paperwork and systems according to company procedures.

Performance: All tasks recorded and signed off as appropriate.

Hygiene & GMP Compliance

Ensure that all working areas comply with internal and external hygiene audits.

Performance: Maintain excellent Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) at all times.

Continuous Improvement

Actively participate in identifying and executing continuous improvement (CI) projects.

Performance: Maintain a pipeline of CI projects, with projects completed on time and in full.

Electrical Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Diagnose and fix electrical issues on machinery with minimal production disruption using root cause analysis.

Performance: Timely and effective resolution of electrical faults.

Fitting & Minor Fabrication

Carry out basic fitting duties, component fixing, machinery inspection, and minor fabrication to industry standards.

Vigilance & Condition Monitoring

Detect and rectify issues affecting plant performance and safety through proactive monitoring.

Personal Development

Drive your own development through ongoing training and work-based experience.

Additional Duties

Undertake other duties reasonably falling within the scope and grade of the post as required.

Essential Skills, Competencies, and Qualities

* Flexibility: Availability to work varied hours and shifts.

* Maintenance Skills: Strong factory-based maintenance capabilities.

* Qualifications: 18th Edition Electrical Qualification, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.

* Communication: Good interpersonal and communication skills.

* Motivation: Driven, motivated, and positive attitude toward colleagues.

* Experience: Previous experience in a production environment.
