Exciting Opportunity: Part-Time Assistant Accountant
We are delighted to be assisting one of our valued clients in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic team in Basildon.

Role Highlights:
* Location: Basildon
* Schedule: 3 days per week (with flexibility)
* Work Environment: Fast-paced SME with a strong team spirit
Key Responsibilities:
* Handling purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, payments, and VAT returns
* Authorising, coding, and arranging payments for monthly expenses and managing credit card summaries
* Processing Purchase/Bought Ledger Invoices
* Assisting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks
* Checking bank statements, updating the cashbook, and performing reconciliations on Sage
* Archiving accounts documents, including scanning AP documentation onto SAGE 50cloud Accounts Professional
What We're Looking For:
* A minimum of 2-3 years of book-keeping experience
* Part-qualified in ACCA/IAB/ACA/CIMA or a finance-related degree/course
* Strong Excel skills for financial data management and analysis
* Proficiency in Word and Excel spreadsheets
* Experience with cloud-based bookkeeping software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks (Sage knowledge preferred)
