A leader in the provision of fire protection services is looking for experienced fire door carpenters to join their team. You will be working on domestic projects, carrying out new installations, upgrades and maintenance works too existing doors and frames. The works will be based across South Wales and will cover multiple areas with a large housing association.
The successful candidate will have:
* At least two years experience working with fire doors
* Excellent technical knowledge of fire protection compliance
* Fire Door Installation – across various settings including social housing, commercial, and residential properties.
* Fire Stopping – minor tasks associated with door installations, where needed.
* Dry Lining – installing fire-rated plasterboards on existing ceilings and constructing new fire-rated partitions.
* NVQ or equivalent in carpentry
* Experience installing fire doors and frames
* Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames
* Experience working on social housing FRA contracts
* Own van/transport to carry materials
Roles and responsibilities
* Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors
* Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification
* Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
* Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
* Liaise with customers and members of the general public

* Self employed works on a long term CIS basis
* £220.00 per day based on 8 hrs worked
* Mileage, parking, congestion charges all reimbursed weekly
