Yard Operatives Needed in Gravesend – Join Swanstaff Ltd!
Swanstaff Ltd is currently recruiting Yard Operatives to join our client’s team in Gravesend. As a Recycling Operative, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service by encouraging the public to reuse and recycle, as well as assisting them with proper waste disposal. Please note that due to the site's location, owning your own vehicle and having access to transportation is highly recommended.
Important: Must Have Own Transport
Due to the remote location of the site, personal transport is essential for this role.
Job Responsibilities:
* Safely and efficiently operate the Recycling Centre.
* Guide and assist the public in correctly disposing of waste.
* Identify and set aside reusable items in collaboration with our charity partners.
* Actively promote reuse before recycling among site users.
* Conduct and record daily site inspections and equipment safety checks.
* Ensure all chargeable waste is properly identified.
* Prevent unauthorised individuals from sorting, interfering with, or removing any waste from the Recycling Centre.
Role Requirements:
* Experience in recycling or waste management is desirable but not essential.
* PPE must be worn at all times.
* Must be courteous towards customers, clients, and colleagues.
* Strong timekeeping skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Available to work any 5 out of 7 days (Sites open 7 days a week).
* Working hours: 8 AM – 5 PM (Times may vary)
* Paid weekly.
