Amid the perceived gloom, there are some real success stories in the UK construction industry! This boutique main contractor works in the luxury later living space, and has never been busier. They take on newbuild projects partnered with a specialist developer, with sites in some of the south east's prime hotspots.
This project starts within a few weeks and goes on for just over two years. Beyond that, the future looks very promising as new projects start to fill up the forward pipeline.
The plan is for you to work with a Project Director for a few months, on this project, essentially to get used to their systems and methods, then take it on as the No 1 Project Manager on site. The Project Director will then move onto another new scheme at some point early next year, leaving you to run and deliver it.
It's £50m in value, made up of 40 houses and 80 luxury apartments. Low level RC Frame construction for the apartments, traditional build for the houses and plenty of outside landscaping. The fit and finish is high end luxury.
About you...
1. Degree in Construction Management or similar
2. Strong housebuilding track record, ideally with prime residential schemes
3. Excellent leader, strong on client relationship building
4. Able to start in November ideally
