Learning & Behaviour Mentor

Introduction

Qualiteach Yorkshire have partnered with a specialist school in Huddersfield who are looking for a permanent Learning and Behaviour Mentor to join them.

The school caters for learners from KS2 – KS4 with a range of needs including those with SEMH, Autism and other complex learning difficulties.

Job Title Responsibilities

* To contribute to the overall ethos, vision and aims of the school

* To promote and safeguard the welfare of all learners during the school day and maintain a good order of the environment

* To work with small groups of learners or one to one

* To undertake general administrative duties required to maintain accurate records

* To carry out any other duties as requested by your line manager or Headteacher

Job Title Requirements

* Experience working with young people with SEN

* Relevant training and qualifications within education and SEN

* Ability to build rapport with young people disengaged with education

* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues

* Ability to manage behaviour through a variety of techniques and strategies
