We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Manager / Service Operations Manager / Facilities Maintenance Manager, to oversee and drive performance in our Service Maintenance, Small Works, and Reactive Maintenance division. Working closely alongside the Head of Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, resource optimisation, and exceptional client service.

The Role
As the Maintenance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service Maintenance, Small Works, and Reactive Maintenance teams. You will ensure seamless service delivery, manage resources effectively, and support the strategic objectives of the Head of Maintenance to drive continuous improvement and growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Head of Maintenance to align operational strategy and service delivery.
• Lead and manage the service maintenance, small works, and reactive maintenance teams, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
• Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and project execution to meet client expectations and contractual obligations.
• Maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for operational matters in coordination with senior leadership.
• Monitor and improve service delivery, ensuring adherence to industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
• Manage budgets, costs, and financial performance within the department, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
• Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled and motivated workforce, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Work cross-functionally to identify new business opportunities and allocate tasks to the most suitable teams.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in an Maintenance Manager role within the service maintenance, small works, or reactive maintenance sector.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
• Excellent understanding of maintenance and small works contracts, operational planning, and service delivery.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and P&L.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
