Inspire Resourcing are recruiting for a Senior Quality Inspector role in the Chesterfield area for a well-known engineering company in the Chesterfield area.
Responsibilities, duties, and tasks:
* Lead the facility on all aspects of inspection.
* Ensure consistent inspection methods and standards are met across the department.
* Complete inspection of customer product to ensure it meets order requirements and standards utilising your experience and product knowledge.
* Highlight any quality related issues or concerns using appropriate methods and procedures.
* Develop and implement a plan for the introduction of in cycle inspection into production by offering leadership, guidance, training, and generation of work instruction (W.I.) as appropriate.
* Responsible for ensuring accurate data capture within the area eg Javelin booking disciplines.
* Monitor Quality data daily using the Power BI quality dashboard, and report issues to production team.
* Where required, conduct investigations into customer complaints and NCRs
* Ensure compliance with the company FAIR procedures.
* All measurement equipment is calibrated and recorded in line with quality manual.
* Accountable for the creation and implementation of QDAS
* Use SPC data to drive improvements in our quality inspection processes.
* Consult on new product introduction as required.
* Build up the quality processes within the operational flow, embedding operator feature based measurement at point of manufacture.
* Maintain EH&S standards in line with company policy.
* Attend and participate in daily meetings as required, taking an active role.
Experience:
* Strong background in manufacturing
* Sound knowledge of inspection techniques and methods
* Consistency in approach to inspection
* Strong IT skills and experience, including MS Office, in particular Excel
Qualifications/ training:
* General Engineering qualification BTEC/HNC
Hours and salary:
* 37 hour working week
* Regular days
* flexible start times
* £35k-40k depending on experience
