JOB - CAD Technician
LOCATION - Nottinghamshire
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is working with a well-established engineering company based in Nottinghamshire that is looking to hire a CAD Technician.

The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).
Strong experience in Autodesk Inventor for 3D modelling and technical drawings.
Experience in wood or upholstery 
Previous experience in a CAD Technician, Design Engineer, or similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of mechanical components, sheet metal, and fabrication processes.
Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and BOMs.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills to liaise with design, manufacturing, and project teams.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.The CAD Technician role will involve:

Creating 3D models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
Producing accurate engineering documentation, including BOMs and assembly drawings.
Assisting design and engineering teams in developing new and existing products.
Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and manufacturing capabilities.
Collaborating with engineers and production teams to resolve design challenges.
Modifying and updating existing CAD models as required.
