Student and Host Support Administrator – Join a dynamic organisation that is at the forefront of international education.

Spider is advertising on behalf of a Suffolk-based company dedicated to providing high-quality guardianship services for international students from Europe and Asia studying in the UK. They are looking for a Student and Host Support Administrator to join their team on full-time basis in Martlesham, near Ipswich, Suffolk.

Fantastic company package include:

Salary: £23,400 per annum pro rata. Calculates at £12.00 per hour (will increase in April)
Holiday: 20 days holiday per annum (pro-rated) plus bank holidays
Hours: Flexible working hours (minimum of around 20 hours per week across at least three days)

About the role:

As the Student and Host Support Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include processing student applications, liaising with schools and host families, maintaining the database, handling communication with parents and students, and supporting various events such as Parent’s Evenings and host family visits. You will be a key point of contact, ensuring students and their families receive exceptional support, guidance, and information throughout their educational journey.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as the central hub of the office, working closely with the team.
Process student applications and liaise with schools and host families.
Manage and update databases, including inputting data and maintaining electronic filing systems.
Coordinate host references, DBS checks, and essential documentation.
Prepare and distribute student and host packs, training materials, and profiles.
Arrange transport, register students with GPs, and handle student arrivals/departures.
Provide ongoing support for hosts and students, including attending meetings, parent evenings, and school visits.
Monitor and report on student behaviour, attendance, and academics.
Engage with students via social media and support them during their stay.
Assist with advertising and recruiting new host families.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations.
Develop strong relationships with schools, internal teams, and external clients.

About you:

You will be a proactive and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. Ideally, you will possess a degree or A-level qualifications, along with strong communication skills in both written and spoken English. You will need to be tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with communication platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and WhatsApp. Excellent social media engagement is desired! Previous experience in sales and marketing, as well as working with diverse cultures, will be advantageous. Above all, you should have a genuine passion for supporting students and helping them navigate their educational paths.

Please note, to ensure the safety and well-being of the students, you will be required to complete a full and clear Enhanced DBS check, which they will cover, along with personal and professional references prior to employment.
