A well-established logistics business is seeking a Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a 1-year fixed-term contract. The role offers exposure to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with involvement in various aspects of finance operations, including sales invoicing, reconciliations, and credit control.

What will the Accounts Assistant role involve?

Raising Sales Invoices.
Credit Control: Chase overdue debtors and set up new client accounts.
Perform balance sheet and VAT reconciliations.
Purchase Ledger: Assist with invoice posting.
Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Assistant vacancy:

Essential Competencies:

Extensive experience in Sales and Purchase Ledger.

Strong understanding of accounting principles.

Positive and proactive attitude with the ability to challenge and question processes professionally.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge & Skills:

Finance qualification (degree level or equivalent).

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level, no requirement for Pivot Tables or VLOOKUP).
