Job Opportunity: Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner (Baby Room)

Are you a passionate and nurturing childcare professional? We are looking for a dedicated Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our baby room team at our friendly and vibrant day nursery in Watford.

Key Responsibilities

* Caring for Babies: Provide exceptional care for babies aged 0-2 years, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes their emotional and physical wellbeing.

* Developmental Activities: Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities tailored to support the individual developmental needs of each child.

* Building Bonds: Establish strong, trusting relationships with babies, encouraging their confidence and sense of security.

* Parent Partnership: Communicate effectively with parents and carers, sharing updates on their child's progress and creating a collaborative approach to care.

* Record Keeping: Maintain detailed observations and records of each baby's milestones, learning experiences, and overall development in line with the EYFS framework.

* Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the baby room to create a positive and welcoming environment for children and their families.

* Health & Safety: Adhere to all safeguarding and health and safety policies to ensure the wellbeing of all children.

Requirements

* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare (or equivalent).

* Previous experience working in a nursery, particularly with babies.

* A warm, caring, and patient demeanor.

* Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

* A proactive approach to supporting children’s growth and development.

* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
