We are working on behalf of a major tier 1 main contractor to source a strong SSM to join a new build education project in Enfield. The ideal candidate should be able to travel between Hertfordshire, Colchester, Suffolk and Cambridge. Schools and DfE experience is a must for this position.

This contractor are busiest company in the Northen Home Counties/East Anglia region. They operate across new build and refurb disciplines across education, life science, residential, MOD, MOJ and commercial sectors. They turnover £1billion across the whole of the UK and have been running for over 40 years. In terms of culture, they are well-known for their family feel and understanding nature.

As Senior Site Manager you would be responsible for

Project Planning and Coordination:

* Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.

* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow

Site Supervision:

* Oversee day-to-day operations on the construction site.

* Monitor the work of subcontractors and site workers to ensure compliance with project specifications

Quality Control:

* Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

* Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues early

Safety Management:

* Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for site personnel

* Maintain accurate records of site activities, incidents, and progress reports.

* Prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders.

Budget Management:

* Monitor project expenses and ensure costs are kept within the approved budget.

* Approve invoices and manage payments for subcontractors and suppliers.

Team Leadership:

* Lead and mentor junior site managers and construction staff.

* Foster a collaborative team environment to enhance productivity.

Regulatory Compliance:

* Ensure adherece to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
