Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates for groundworks and brickwork projects, ensuring that budgets are adhered to.

*

Contract Management: Assist in the preparation and management of contracts, including variations, claims, and payments.

*

Subcontractor Management: Liaise with subcontractors, ensuring clear communication around scopes of work, costs, and deadlines.

*

Site Visits & Assessments: Regular site visits to assess project progress, quality, and any potential cost implications.

*

Tendering & Procurement: Support the tendering process for new projects, identifying cost-effective materials and services.

*

Financial Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on project finances, highlighting any risks or discrepancies.

Ideal Candidate:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the groundworks and brickwork sectors.

*

Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration, and project lifecycle.

*

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a flexible, part-time role.

*

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

*

Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.

*

Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Excel, CostX, etc.).
