The Organisation:
A growing SME that have been operating a number of years and have built up an excellent reputation in their field. They have a low staff turnover as really look after their staff. The role is working 5 days in the office.

The Role: Finance Manager
Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be responsible for producing the end to end management accounts coupled with supervising a small team. Responsibilities will include:

Manage and support the day-to-day financial operations, assisting with queries from the finance admin team and wider departments
Lead and mentor a small team - Conduct team meetings and performance appraisals
Co-ordinate month end processes and the production of the monthly management accounts pack, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions
Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly & enhance controls and processes impacting the P&L and Balance Sheet.
Maintain accruals, prepayments, assets and depreciation schedules.
Assist in the annual audit, liaising with external auditors and implementing recommendations, preparing required schedules and analysis
Weekly Cash flow forecasting, liaising with Group Financial Controller
Review weekly payment run
Liaise with the bank on day to day matters
Check and authorisation of expense claims
Review monthly VAT return
Preparation of PSA Return to HMRC annually and other company returns as and when required
Review, document and improve financial processes and systems
Participate in various ad-hoc projects and activities as required.The Ideal Candidate:

Experience in a similar role, ideally with an SME
