We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all goods are stored, picked, packed, and shipped in a timely and efficient manner. This role involves managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring safety compliance, optimising processes, and meeting operational goals.

Key Accountabilities

1. Team Leadership and Supervision:

- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse and administration workers, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety and operational standards.

- Assign daily tasks to warehouse staff and monitor progress throughout the shift.

- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and address any performance issues or concerns.

- Schedule shifts and allocate resources to ensure proper coverage of all areas within the warehouse.

- Promote a positive and collaborative team culture, fostering open communication and problem-solving.

2. Inventory Control and Order Fulfilment:

- Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.

- Ensure that all products are received, stored, and dispatched in accordance with company standards.

- Monitor the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment.

- Implement cycle counts and assist with regular physical inventory audits.

- Manage the proper labelling and tagging of goods to ensure compliance with tracking systems.

3. Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety regulations, IOSH guidelines, and company policies.

- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Lead safety meetings and training sessions for warehouse employees, ensuring all staff are aware of and adhere to safety procedures.

- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety violations, implementing corrective actions as needed.

- Ensure that all emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and first-aid supplies are easily accessible and in working order.

4. Warehouse Operations and Efficiency:

- Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and storage systems to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.

- Monitor the use of warehouse equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safe operation (e.g., forklifts, pallet pump trucks, etc.).

- Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to improve speed and accuracy.

- Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to reduce bottlenecks, minimize downtime, and enhance productivity.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and orders.

- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and any operational issues.

- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, including productivity, accuracy, and order fulfilment.

- Ensure all documentation, such as shipping and receiving reports, is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

6. Customer Service:

- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve any order-related issues or discrepancies.

- Address customer complaints or concerns regarding shipments, returns, or damages, and ensure proper follow-up.

- Oversee the warehouse and all logistics requirements associated with despatching products out to customers, in the most cost-effective manner.

- Working closely with partner companies in the shared warehouse eg. Lincat, Spooner Vicars and Wunderbar UK.

Knowledge and Skills

* Competent on Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Proven track record for managing warehouse operations.

* Exceptional communication skills and able to establish and maintain credible working relationships internally and externally.

* Must be able to demonstrate excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Able and willing to work under pressure and to tight deadlines when required.

* Experience of managing a team

* Forklift truck licence.
