Position: ICT Teacher
Location: Poole
Salary: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: October half term / January

Are you enthusiastic about ICT and passionate about teaching?  GSL Education is in search of an outgoing ICT Teacherto join a local secondary school in Poole for a permanent position starting in September 2024.

The school believes in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically and creatively. As an ICT Teacher, you would be responsible for delivering engaging and informative ICT lessons to students of varying ages and abilities. You will create lesson plans and supplemental materials that teach the fundamentals of computer hardware, software, and programming languages.

As an ICT Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate is not only well-versed in the subject matter but also enthusiastic about making Computer Science accessible and enjoyable for students of varying abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and comprehensive ICT lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to excel.
Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world applications to make computer science relevant and captivating for students.
Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
A positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for literature and language, promoting respectful behaviour among students.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
Teaching certification in Information Technology or Business Studies.
PGCE/QTS/QTLS
Proven experience teaching IT or Business Studies at the secondary level is desirable but not essential. 
Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
