I'm seeking a talented and motivated Systems Integration Engineer to join a leading player in the aerospace sector based in Brough. They are pioneering advanced technologies for defence and military applications, and are proud to be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge systems for the next generation of fighter jets, that play a critical role in our national security.

Role Overview

As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless integration of complex systems within fighter jet programmes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, software, hardware, and testing, to deliver high-performance solutions that meet stringent aerospace standards. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer looking to contribute to a high-profile, mission-critical project.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the integration of avionics, mission systems, and other aircraft subsystems within fighter jet programmes.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system requirements are fully understood and met.
Develop and execute integration and test plans, including simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues during development and operational phases.
Conduct systems analysis to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance requirements.
Provide technical support and expertise to the development and testing teams.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems integration processes and methodologies.Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proven experience in systems integration, ideally within the aerospace sector, with a focus on military aircraft or fighter jet systems.
Strong knowledge of avionics, flight control systems, and mission systems.
Familiarity with aerospace integration and testing methodologies, including HIL testing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving integration challenges.
UK security clearance or the ability to obtain it is essential.Desirable Skills:

Experience with software integration, including working with embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
Familiarity with military standards and regulations.

The salary is £55,000 to £60,000 and offers hybrid-working
