Our client is looking for an additional member of staff to join their growing team in a specialist division of their UK logistics operation. As such, this will be a hands-on and varied role where you will be involved in customer liaison as well as route planning of their vehicles around the UK.

Key responsibilities:

* Handling incoming enquiries from customers and processing their requests

* Planning routes for the drivers and ensuring optimal and cost effective solutions

* Maintaining accurate information on the computerised database

* Liaising with the drivers to arrange for servicing and repair of vehicles

* Recording detailed costs incurred and producing profit and loss reports

The candidate:

Logistics experience essential and a knowledge of planning routes in the UK

Strong IT skills including exposure to specific transport systems

Confident communication skills to liaise with a wide range of clients

Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment using problem solving and organisational skills with an attention to detail
