Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a SENDCO Assistant to work in an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary school near Alum Rock to join their staff team. They understand the importance of staff wellbeing and provide appropriate practical support where necessary.

Our client wants to appoint a dedicated SENDCO Assistant to be part responsible for SEN provision across the school. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of EHCPs and move on graduated approaches to learning and support / scaffold for SEND children.

This SENDCO Assistant role is to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year. It also has potential to continue to next academic year too. This position is a job share so will be part time, 2 or 3 days per week. Either Wednesday and Thursday or Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Required Skills and Experience for this SENDCO Assistant role:

Experience working with children with SEN
Minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Excellent knowledge of SEND provision and experience working with EHCPs
Support the SENCO in the management and delivery of SEND provision across the school
Attend meetings with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other staff
Strong interpersonal skills with parents, pupils, staff and other agencies
Liaise with external agencies to support pupil’s needs
Provide guidance to staff regarding pupil support
Build strong relationships with the pupils, parents and staff

A competitive salary of up to £130 per day which equates to £25,350 based on working 5 days a week for the full school year

This SENDCO Assistant opportunity is located in Alum Rock which is easily commutable from areas such as Saltley, Bordesley Green, Erdington, Nechells, Aston, Yardley, Lea Hall, Small Heath and most areas of Birmingham via car, bus and train.
