School Caretaker required for a primary school near Ware.

Are you a proactive, energetic team player with an eye for detail who takes pride in their work?

We are looking for a school caretaker to join a popular primary school in the Ware area on a full-time basis from November 2024. This role would be perfect for someone who either has prior experience as a school caretaker or is looking to utilise their ‘handyperson’ skills and background in a new position within a primary school.

THE POSITION

* School caretaker

* Primary school near Ware

* Split shifts (7am – 9.30am and 3pm - 6pm)

* Key holder responsibilities

* Responsible for maintaining the safety, maintenance and upkeep of the school site

* Long-term role

Examples of duties could include:

* Regularly checking fire and safety systems

* Undertaking routine maintenance work on school site

* Arranging emergency repairs where necessary

* Overseeing cleaning staff and undertaking cleaning duties where necessary

* Liaising with external contractors

* Undertaking general porterage duties including moving furniture and equipment within the school
