Our client seeks a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure our production lines run smoothly and efficiently.

Your Role:

You'll be the backbone of our maintenance operations, responsible for the upkeep and repair of a diverse range of production equipment. Your work will involve:

* Proactive Maintenance: Executing planned preventative maintenance schedules, diligently recording all activities in our Computerised Maintenance Management System (Mainsaver).

* Reactive Repairs: Swiftly diagnosing and resolving equipment faults, minimising downtime, and conducting thorough root cause analysis.

* Safety and Quality: Adhering strictly to food safety, health and safety, and quality standards in all tasks.

* Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance production efficiency and participating in improvement projects.

* Inventory Management: Ensuring the right engineering supplies are available for maintenance tasks.

* Communication: Providing clear updates to the Engineering Shift Manager, Engineering Manager, and Production Manager on maintenance activities and downtime.

* GMP Compliance: Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including workshop and toolboxes, following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

* Operator Support: Assisting in training operators on basic asset care.

What We're Looking For:

* Essential:

* A fully qualified, apprentice-trained, Multi-Skilled Engineer.

* Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (FMCG).

* Solid experience within the food manufacturing/processing sector.

* A self-motivated and independent worker.

* Proficient in computer use.

* Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Team Dynamics:

* You'll work alongside other skilled Multi-Skilled Engineers.

* Holiday cover will be shared amongst your peers.

Performance Measures:

* Strict adherence to food safety, health and safety, and quality regulations.

* Efficient and effective delivery of maintenance tasks.

* Accurate and timely recording of maintenance activities in the CMMS.

* Effective cost management of maintenance supplies.

Additional Information:

* This role requires a flexible and dedicated approach.

* You may be asked to perform other duties as needed.

* Flexibility is required to meet the demands of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary is £46000 and offers a working pattern of 4 on 4 off, (two dayshift, two nightshift – 7-7.)
