Do you have experience working within Payroll and looking for a new job in the Scarborough / Malton area? Are you available to start immediately on a possible temporary to permanent position?

We are working for a growing not for profit organisation who are looking for temporary payroll support whilst they are recruiting additional people for their finance team. 

Working in a small payroll team, you will be supporting with the processing wages for circa 600 employees. 

What the Payroll Job Involves?

Working in a small payroll team you will be processing hourly and salaried staff on a monthly basis.

Processing starters and leavers including P45’s and New Starter Checklists for HMRC.

Calculating holiday pay in line with current legislation as well as assessing entitlement to statutory payments, such as SMP, SPP, MSP and SSP.

You will also be responsible for uploading pension contributions to their pension provider.

Processing PAYE payments as well as meeting HMRC submission deadlines.

Producing P11d’s, P60’s, P45’s and any other Tax related documents.

Calculating overtime payments with hourly uplifts, bonus payments and salary sacrifice entitlements such as company cars etc.

Skills required:

Experience in payroll is essential, although it can be from any industry or sector.

Excellent communication skills as you will be speaking to people on a daily basis over the phone and via email about their payroll queries.

Someone who has strong numeracy skills with the attention to detail to match.

Experience using any payroll system such as Sage Payroll, IRIS or Brightpay etc

This is possibly a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate

Full time 37 hours a week
