Tree Surgeon, Climber, Arborist

Salary £45,000 to £50,000

This is a Full Time, Permanent, Employed position. That means that you are paid for ALL working days and include Holiday Pay and Sick Pay. There is also overtime at a higher rate and you are paid from the time that you start at the depot, not when you arrive on site.

Our client is an established and award-winning Tree Care and Landscaping Contractor with a proven track record in delivering Arboriculture, Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance projects. All of their tree work is local to the Reading and Maidenhead area and does NOT include any hedging work.

The company need to increase the capacity of their Arboriculture Team to reflect the increasing demand for their services. They are therefore looking to appoint a skilled Tree Surgeon Climber with 5+ years’ experience of large felling, reductions and working with cranes. You will hold CS30, 31 & 32 certificates together with CS 38, 39 and 40 certifications.

You will take charge of a new tree surgery team, ensuring high-quality arboriculture work, safety, and efficiency. You will ensure strict adherence to industry best practices, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS), promoting a strong safety culture. The principal duties will centre on tree reductions, crown lifting, dismantling & felling and you will ideally have some experience in the use of mechanised equipment, and cranes. You will have a good knowledge of arboriculture pests, disease and defects together with their treatment.

All staff should have a sound understanding of current industry best practice in Climbing and Arboriculture together with a positive attitude towards Health & Safety regulations. The nature of the work requires candidates to hold the relevant industry qualifications together with a full Driving Licence. All candidates will be subject to a DBS check
