A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a growing, close-knit team within a specialist engineering environment.

This role is ideal for someone with a technical background in mechanical engineering and a good understanding of CAD design, who enjoys working closely with both internal teams and external customers. If you're someone who thrives in a hands-on, solutions-focused environment, this could be a great next step in your career.

Location: Blackburn (Office Based)
Salary: Up to £40k plus annual discretionary bonus
Hours: Mon–Thurs 07:30–16:30, Fri 08:00–14:30
Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays (rising to 23)

What You’ll Be Doing as the Internal Sales Engineer:

Handling incoming technical enquiries

Collaborating with clients to design bespoke solutions

*

Producing technical drawings and 3D models

*

Supporting the external sales team with accurate specs and documentation

*

Working closely with production to ensure smooth handover of design to manufacture

What You’ll Need:

✔ Mechanical engineering background or similar technical education
✔ Strong CAD experience, including 3D modelling
✔ Understanding of fluid and pneumatic systems is desirable
✔ Confident, professional communication skills
✔ Proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude

Nice to Have (But Not Essential):

Previous B2B sales experience

Exposure to components/parts or technical product sales

Degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering (BA/BSc)
