Job Overview
A growing IT services company is seeking an experienced Procurement Assistant to join their team. This role, based in Newport, involves managing daily procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
* Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and address any issues.
* Support the Sales and Pre-sales teams by obtaining supplier quotes.
* Assist the Accounts team with invoice queries.
* Keep CRM systems and records up-to-date.
* Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a purchasing role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
