Head Housekeeper - Private Family Estate in Tunbridge Wells
A private family household is seeking a dedicated team of staff for their newly renovated Georgian estate, located in the beautiful Tunbridge Wells area.
The estate is a working farm with animals on-site, and the family’s children visit on weekends. To support the smooth running of the household, we are currently hiring for multiple positions, including:
• Head Housekeeper
• Gardeners
• Cleaners
• Security Guards
• Chef
The proprietor plans to move into the residence in August or September 2025, and we are looking for experienced professionals to join the team in preparation for this transition.

The Role – Head Housekeeper
This is a full-time, live-out position covering Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with flexibility required.
The ideal candidate for this role should be reliable, honest, and possess a friendly demeanour, along with relevant experience and strong, verifiable references.
We are specifically looking for someone with strong experience in luxury hospitality and/or in supporting a private family household and the needs/demands that come with this.
Responsibilities to include:
Household Management:
* Supervising and coordinating the housekeeping team, including cleaners and laundry staff.
* Establishing and maintaining high cleaning and hygiene standards throughout the property.
* Managing laundry services, including care for fine fabrics, linens, and wardrobe management for high quality garments.
* Ensuring all rooms are prepared to a high standard for the family's arrival and guest visits.
Staff Supervision & Training:
* Recruiting, training, and managing housekeeping staff.
* Creating cleaning schedules and assigning tasks.
* Conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback to staff.
Inventory & Supplies Management:
* Managing household supplies, including cleaning products, linens, and toiletries.
* Maintaining stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
* Keeping an inventory of household items and ensuring their proper maintenance.
General Property Upkeep:
* Coordinating deep cleaning tasks and seasonal cleaning schedules.
* Overseeing the maintenance and care of high-end furnishings, antiques, and artwork.
* Reporting any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the estate manager or property owner.
Guest & Family Service:
* Preparing guest rooms and ensuring all areas are welcoming and well-presented.
* Assisting with event preparations and liaising with other household staff, such as chefs and security.
* Ensuring discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Health & Safety Compliance:
* Implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations.
* Conducting risk assessments and ensuring cleaning practices meet safety standards.
* Maintaining security and privacy within the property.
